As part of a collaborative team led by Urban Strategies, PFS Studio was responsible for the creation of a public realm and landscape vision for a sustainable new town in Southeast Asia. With the vision of creating a ‘Sustainable Waterfront Town in the Tropics’, the master plan artfully blends land use, transportation, energy strategies and architectural form with habitat zones, dynamic parks and public spaces, bioengineered and programmed waterfront edges to create a functional and vibrant new town on the coast.

Recognizing the progressive sustainability goals of the local government, PFS Studio focused on the creation of site habitats as a major design driver. The final master plan included a comprehensive development strategy for streets, parks, open spaces, a waterfront promenade, as well as approaches to storm water and habitat management.
