River Green Lot 12 has won the City of Richmond’s 2022 Lulu Awards in the residential and mixed use, high-rise urban design category. The Awards, held every four years, recognize, celebrate and inspire excellence in urban design in the City of Richmond. PFS Studio worked closely with the client, ASPAC, and architects, James Cheng and IBI, to design and implement this mixed-use development.
“The design has a clever response to two distinct edges; Pearson Way with a grand, institutional-like residential entry court, and River Road with a welcoming public plaza with a significant public art piece.” – Jury 2022.
The arrival courtyard design incorporates a lit water terrace surrounded by lush planting and special stone paving. The continuous boulevard and greenway along Hollybridge Way connects the project to the waterfront. The development integrates a beautiful podium with a four-season garden, a west-coast landscape pool and a naturalized kids’ play area for the residents.
