HOWARD ROSENBLAT

PROJECT DESIGNER

Howard is a project designer with diverse experience in streetscape design, mixed-use developments, parks and design guidelines. His background in sustainability and environmental science bring systems-based thinking to his design approach, allowing him to develop nature-based solutions that generate ecological benefit, reduce a project’s carbon footprint, and enhance their experiential qualities. During his time at the University of Toronto, Howard developed a technical acuity through his contributions to the GRIT Lab (Green Roof Innovation and Testing Laboratory) which emphasized improving green roof policy and design-decision making for nature based solutions.

Howard is inspired by the potential of landscape architecture to regenerate our relationship with nature, through a landscape first approach. He believes that creating a resilient landscape should consider all species, and the past, present, and future stories embedded in a site. Howard brings this experience and knowledge to his collaborations with colleagues, project managers, principles and the consultant team through all stages of a project.
