Vinh brings with him a diverse range of high-profiled international projects in scale and complexity which has trained him to develop a strong approach to place-making through a deep understanding of macro and micro-scales of a site. He conceptualizes the identity of a place through the expression of materiality, form and spatiality to articulate unique experiences and create narratives that are contextualized. His projects have included large-scale urban parks, master planning, museums, institutional campuses and industrial waterfronts. He is profoundly inspired by the tenets of good design to positively influence transformation of functionality and interaction of the urban fabric.
Currently Vinh is managing the PFS Studio Toronto office and leading projects such as SickKids Hospital, Bathurst Quay Waterfront, Mirvish Village Park, Afghanistan Memorial, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Butterfield Park, and York University Markham Centre Campus.
Prior to joining PFS Studio, Vinh worked with !Melk Urban Design and Landscape Architecture in New York City on a range of large-scale open spaces in which he managed and led the design for several projects and competitions. Vinh combines his creativity and technical skills to create spaces that are designed sensibly.
