PFS Studio, working with artist Jill Anholt and the City of Redmond, has been leading the public outreach process for the design of Redmond’s Downtown Park. We kicked off the process with a fun and stimulating public workshop at Redmond City Hall in February. Now, we’ve used the feedback generated to create a community art project entitled ‘Everyone has a stake in Downtown Park’, which showcases ideas for the park on 1,000 wooden landscape stakes. The folks in Redmond came together to help us paint and install the project – literally transforming them into ‘stakeholders’!
Installed last month, the project will remain in place for the next couple of months, gathering input from passersby that will continue to inform the design process. We’re keen to watch the installation progress over the course of the public engagement process!
