Marta Farevaag
Marta has been a key player in PFS Studio’s success due to her exceptional skills as a strategist, facilitator, visionary and professional planning expert. Marta works at the interface of urban planning, landscape architecture and urban design. As the lead planner at PFS Studio, she has worked closely and collaboratively with her partners and staff on the integration of innovative planning principles, and has an extraordinary understanding of the relationship between planning and design. Marta has argued passionately throughout her career for the value of integrated landscape architectural design at all levels of the planning process. She has also been a tireless advocate of an interdisciplinary approach to landscape architecture. For her, a collaborative, iterative approach to design process not only results in a visually engaging design, but also results in a multiscalar approach to program analysis and political engagement.

She played a central role in several high profile heritage and cultural projects including Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Lansdowne Park, Brittania Shipyards, Hastings Park Master Plan, UBC and UBCO Master plans, and Cates Park/Whey-ah-Wichen Master plan.
