This event will bring together a group of influential professionals, academics, artists and innovators, who are leading the dialogue on public issues in Vancouver for an interactive and facilitated exchange.
What are the City of Vancouver’s collective public space values? how can public spaces help mitigate social isolation? How can citizens be involved in the stewardship of our public spaces?
Generously supported by the Vancouver Foundation and the Vancouver Gallery, this event coincides with the release of the Vancouver Foundation’s follow-up report on social isolation which is due in October. The results of this discussion will inform the basis of the City of Vancouver’s public space values and principles, and will shape public space related initiatives including Places for People: Downtown and the Plaza Stewardship Strategy.
