Reconciliation

Landscapes | Paysages, edited by Grant Fahlgren of PFS Studio, focuses entirely on reconciliation.

This important issue considers ways that Indigenous designers, landscape architects and firms across Canada are collaborating with and learning from Indigenous communities across the country through their projects and practices.

Grant Fahlgren, of PFS Studio, a member of Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation and founding member of the CSLA Reconciliation Advisory Committee, is the guest editor of this Fall’s edition. In 2015, he was named the Graduate National Olmsted Scholar while obtaining his Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of British Columbia. His research into the potential of traditional ecological knowledge to inform adaptations to climate change has expanded into his professional practice through his work with First Nations communities.
